Our Achievements
Jill Fuller, Ph.D. has worked in grant proposal and gift development since 2014, when she joined UNC Chapel Hill’s School of Nursing as its Grant Writer/Research Professional. Her work there led to 60+ external and institutional grants, contracts, and gifts totaling ~$22.4 million in 5.5 years.
Dr. Fuller has worked part-time as an independent grant consultant with Washington, DC-based McAllister & Quinn since 2019. Serving in writing, reviewing, editing, and coaching roles, she has helped secure 31 awards and ~$37.6 million in funding for the firm’s clients, including a health care system; non-profits; schools of medicine, pharmacy, and public health; universities and liberal arts colleges.
Since launching Full Circle Proposals in 2020, her team has worked to attain 20 awards, amounting to ~$34.9 million in grant and gift funding.
Work with research universities has included facilitating:
- funding for grants and gifts for nursing education, practice, and research (our grant work originally began with schools of nursing and they continue to be a significant focus of our work)
- funding for interprofessional education and practice, including dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, public health, and social work
- funding for STEM education, to acquire equipment and develop new technologies
Work with small universities has included:
- enrichment of programming and research portfolios
- supplemental support for student scholarships and stipends
- translation of best practices learned from larger university pre- and post-award management infrastructure
Work with community-based nonprofits has included:
- assessment and prospecting
- process training in grant proposal development
- preparing key leaders for success, implementation, and work toward future funding prospects
